Finally home!

So I am finally home! I have not been back in 3 weeks! Spent one weekend in LA with Mike, then the following weekend, Mike came up to San Fran. It was really fun exploring SF. I am not in a hotel anymore! I moved into an apartment last week, so at least I get to leave my stuff there!

Been really tired lately, and putting on the pounds. I am determined to join a gym and work out more! I am looking forward to our trip to Cozumel too. We are going in June for a week. I can't wait!!!

Anyways, I am making lunch now. Better check on it before I burn down the kitchen!

Been a while

So I have not had the chance to update my blog... I am going to try and post more often, especially now that I have time to do so!

So I am now on a project in San Francisco. I do the Sunday night - Thursday night thing. It's ok, especially since I don't mind flying and I bought a portable DVD player! I watch CSI to pass the time and it's not too bad.

Being in San Francisco rocks! The weather is nice, better than Chicago at least! I get to eat good food! Sometimes I get to expense it, sometimes I feel guilty so I don't! This week, I went to Ino Sushi and Brother's Korean BBQ. Pictures are on my flickr.

Ino is so good, I am still dreaming about the ankimo! And the uni, and everything else. It was expensive though, so I think I will pay for my meal myself next time....

Brother's was good! Almost the same as Haewoondae here in Chicago. I think LA's Korean food is better than San Francisco's...

Anyways, Mike is coming home tonight. And he is not flying next week, so he gets to chill. I fly out Sunday afternoon, and I get to try a new place when I get to SF. Maybe Ryoko's???

Last Week in Bangalore!!!

Boy am I tired... Spent the whole day shopping. Got stuff for friends... Waiting for Mike to email me books that he wants... =)

I packed my bags today just to see how space I have... Not much, so I had to buy a duffle bag today... =) At least I get to check in 3 pieces of luggage! Anyways, had caribbean food today! Plantains!!! Yay!!!

Well, this is going to be a fun week!

One more Sunday left!

This is my second to last Sunday! Yay! Week 5 is starting tomorrow, and everyone is just chilling at home. I stayed in bed all morning and watched Beauty and the Geek and Finding Neverland... Now I am in Anita's flat, stealing her wireless internet!

I went for my suit fitting on Friday, but I have to go back for another fitting on Thursday. I pretty much finished shopping for everyone, so I can take it easy next weekend. I can't wait to see how my suits and shirts turn out. The final damage? 2 full suits, 1 jacket and 10 shirts.

When I get back, I have 3 days with Mike, before he flies off to Frankfurt for over a week. I wonder which project I will end up being on. There is an opportunity for me to spend a few months in London, but I am not sure if I can deal with 6 months being away from my friends!

Anyways, hopefully I make it past this week. I am getting a little homesick!

Lazy Sunday

It's Sunday! 3 more weeks and I will be home!

Taking it easy today. I overslept so I did not go to the orphanage as planned. =( Been an interesting week. We had 2 events planned back to back! Tuesday was bowling night with the Bangalore office people, and Wednesday was a company dinner. Elly, Anita and I then went to get our suits made on Friday evening, and I dropped by there again yesterday to get a few more shirts made.

The damage? i full suit, 1 jacket, 10 shirts for less than $800! Funny thing was that they were showing me Banana Republic pictures for the clothing! I hope I have enough room in my bags for the stuff I bought. I have to go back for a fitting on Friday and we should get our clothes before we leave!

I think I am going to chill this morning. Catch up on some reading, and then this afternoon, the roomies and I are going shopping again... =P

It's Friday! And it's raining... =(

Yay! Friday! It has been a long week. Everyone is getting their coaching sessions done right now. I had mine first so now just waiting... I think the girls will be going out shopping... But I am not sure about the rain!

I need to buy a sweatshirt... I know... weird huh? Sweater in India... But the aircon is freezing in the hotel where we have sessions.

We are heading off to Mysore tomorrow. Leaving at 7 and returning at 10 at night. Should be fun. My group is taking advantage of the 3 hour ride home and we are having a meeting then... =)

Anyways, one more month and I will be home! Home Sweet Home! I am already planning on what to eat when I get back!

Second week in Bangalore

I finally have a chance to update!! Training has been crazy! By the time I am done, my brain is half dead. 20 of us went to Hampi this past weekend. It was fun, but since we went by bus, it was a little tiring.

We left Friday night at 10 and arrived at 6 am. Spent the day wandering around, and took the bus back on Sunday. Phew... Tiring!

Training has been fun. It is really interesting. A few of us girls went to MG Road to buy some books since it is sooooo much cheaper here. I picked up a few books on RoR, Hibernate, Consulting, etc. Now I need to find time to read them!

We found a nice Italian restaurant last night... I MISS PASTA! Sniffle... It was ok, not as good as Chicago, but still.... No beef though, so the bolognese was made with "soya mince"... ewwww.....

We are going to Mysore on Saturday for the day. And I am taking it easy on Sunday... I need a day to do absolutely nothing, and catch up on reading. I have been eating so much everyday, so I think I am going to go on the "2 protein shakes a week" diet... =)
